OUR STORY
The Story Behind My DIY Terrarium
My journey with My DIY Terrarium started with a simple love for plants, nature, and creating things with my hands.
What began with handmade terrariums slowly grew into something much bigger. I started experimenting with preserved moss, natural textures, wood, stone, and other organic materials, and that opened an entirely new creative direction for me. Today, my work ranges from handcrafted terrariums and preserved moss art to large-scale custom installations for homes, offices, wellness spaces, and commercial interiors.
I am especially drawn to creating pieces that bring the feeling of nature indoors. I love working with texture, movement, depth, and natural elements to create something that feels organic rather than manufactured. Every piece is designed and built by hand, and no two projects are exactly the same.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to create custom work for homeowners, businesses, designers, wellness spaces, and commercial clients. My work has also expanded into gallery representation, allowing me to explore moss and botanical materials not only as décor, but as art.
One of my favorite parts of this journey is taking an idea that exists only in someone’s imagination and figuring out how to physically create it. Some projects begin with a simple sketch or conversation; others require weeks of experimenting with materials and construction before everything comes together. That process of problem-solving and creating is what I enjoy most.
My DIY Terrarium is still very much a hands-on studio. I personally design and create my pieces, from the smallest terrarium details to large custom moss installations.
My goal is simple: to create distinctive pieces that bring a little more nature into the spaces where we live and work.
